EDC 2011 HD Videos

Insomniac's highly anticipated Electric Daisy Carnival 2011 took place at the Las Vegas Speedway over the weekend featuring over 100 of the world's top DJs. Spanning over 3 days, this years EDC was the biggest electronic dance music festival in North America. Even for those who attended this year's festival, memory may not have captured the experience well enough to relive the best moments over and over. That is why I have taken it upon myself to put together this archive of HD videos of DJ sets throughout the weekend. At times it was painful to stand and hold the camera steady rather than dance to some of these awesome performances but I wanted to share the experiences with those seeking to relive them. Over 30+ videos were taken, enough to keep you busy until next year's EDC!

Sander Van Doorn (San Diego)

In 2007 when I was first introduced to the EDM scene I have to admit I did not know much about the music. I didn't know the difference between the genres, who the DJs/artists were, or what DJing was really all about. But I clearly remember one song I'd hear over and over again that blew my mind every time I heard it. Something so unique about it I'd never heard any production like it before. I looked it up and the track was called "Sander Van Doorn - Riff". When I decided to start DJing this was one of the first records I purchased and I followed SvD closely picking up every new banger he released.

4 years later he's coming to downtown San Diego and I have the privilege of opening for him. It's like opening for a hero of mine. The show will be at FLUXX night club on Thursday April 7th. I will be playing from 9pm - 9:45pm. I hope to see you there!

ElectrONYX (San Diego)

Eclips Events proudly presents a new monthly electronic event to downtown San Diego. ElectrONYX will take place at the Onyx Room on the first Saturday of every month. We created this event to give San Diego an edge of raviness which will host a wide variety of local DJs and performers. ElectrONYX features a dubstep/dnb front room and electro/house/techno back room. Our first event took place on February 5th, our second on March 5th, and our third will be on April 2nd. Below you will find a promo mix put together by Mikey Shock and myself full of electro and progressive goodness. I was excited to see a well-known party return to the Hudson/Gotham Theater. Throughout the past few years I've attended an unspeakable numbers of parties here featuring world-class performers such as Darude, Felix Da Housecat, 4Strings, Fukkk Offf, Le Castlevania, Infected Mushroom... the list goes on forever really! It drives me insane to think after just a few years now I am playing at this legendary theater. I have to admit that it's always been a personal goal of mine to play here I really appreciate all the support I had on this one from San Diego fans and new friends alike. It feels great to perform at the party I only just a few years ago was attending myself.

Epic NYE @ Del Mar Fair (San Diego)

Eventvibe returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the second San Diego 21+ electronic dance music massive this time known as "Epic New Years Eve". Headliners included Moby (DJ set), Afrojack, Ferry Corsten, and Porter Robinson. I played on the colossal Moby/Ferry Corsten main stage which was a treat to say the least. As usual, Moby murdered it dropping some huge electro bangers as well as a few remixes of his own popular tracks. Glad to see the local boys rockin it as well (Stir Crazy, DigitaLife, Mikey Lion, DJ Pharaoh, CalisParis, Don Santino, Cowboy Mike, and Jason Ross).
